Reef
Fishing
April to October Inshore Reefs are from 15 to 20 minutes from the harbour. They offer good fishing ground for Pollock, Ling, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse, Haddock, Cod, Conger Eel, Mackerel etc. Most of our fishing is done on the drift, over reefs with sandy ground between. Fishing over the sandy areas for flat fish is also done on the drift. If the drift is too fast, anchor is dropped with rubby, dubby. Our inshore bottom fishing depths range from 10 metres to 50 metres. This type of fishing can be done with light rods, 20-30lb class. |
